This is to help us develop our systems to offer our customers VOIP telephony and telephone systems, along with connections to mobile providers for voice and data which inevitably will need knowledge of IP systems. We are after someone who can bring skills that we do not currently have and add them into those of our existing personnel in order to develop us in a new direction.
Internet & Hardware Engineer
We are seeking someone who is familiar with equipment used to maintain internet systems, servers, switches, routers, able to physically make up cables to standards needed and connect and set up the equipment. The suitable applicant would have knowledge of Linux networking and servers, be competent in wired and wireless networking technologies, be able to represent us directly with our technical partners and customers.
Website Design
We need people who can design, monitor and maintain websites for our customers. Skills with HTML, JavaScript, CSS and PHP is needed. An ability to interpret a customer’s ideas, advise and guide them as to what is possible and put this into a design that is effective for them whether it be a basic site or a database-driven e-commerce one. Experience of SQL, PHP, ASP, Flash etc is what we are after. The successful person is going to be able to produce rapid cost-effective work as well as demonstrating the ability to work on “state of the art” systems.
In General
As a general rule we are after people who have a driving license and can present themselves to both our customers and suppliers as IT professionals. If you are able to provide input that is ambitious but realistic, fit in with other people and explain your ideas clearly, carry out tasks set for you as directed and accept that your ideas will not always win, then you may well be the sort of person we are looking for.
Our employees work mainly from our premises in Chapel-en-le-Frith.
We are happy to talk to anyone who has skills in the areas above and to look at hours and terms to suit both the individual and our business, so someone who wants to work on a part-time basis or to fit in with study or other commitments may be just as suitable as someone looking for a full-time post. We can tailor ourselves to fit in with you, if you can bring a similar commitment and enthusiasm.
Salaries are dependent upon what skills you can bring to us as well as hours of work. Obviously, experience counts etc. Prospects are very much down to how far you can help our team to go!
